If you have, you are not alone.

Many people go throughout their lives admiring another for their work and the contribution they make to society yet feel dismayed that it’s not them.

• What are they doing?
• How do they do it?
• What can you simply observe in another?

Noticing what is happening around us at any given moment is key, especially when we are observing the performers who excel at whatever they do. The important thing in this stage is to notice the stellar performers.

Next, notice the habits and patterns that the person you want to model.

• How do they move from the beginning of a process to the final stages with success?

Again, we are noticing in this phase. Make notes, read through your notice, what seems to be coming up over and over again. Ask questions of the person you want to model to better understand their processes and practices.

Then, once you have observed all you can observe, install their process into your own habits. That’s right, make their process common to you.
